We are looking for a mechanical designer to join our design and production team. You will have a central role in further developing the company’s current analysis machine for drill cores and developing concepts and solutions for future products with regard to the design of moving mechanics and enclosure. You will be working within our iterative methodology with a goal of efficient production using state of the art manufacturing
methods.

Orexplore’s GeocoreX10 platform generates a vast quantity of high-quality geological data, which we leverage to provide new insights to our clients.

We are looking for a Data Scientist with a geoscience background to join our team with an initial emphasis on analysis & modelling of scan data and solving problems across the mining value chain to support our consulting geology team.

Our new data scientist will work closely with our R&D team to rapidly develop new tools and methods which directly solve our individual customer’s business problems and contribute to the scale-out of our global data architecture.

Orexplore are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Core Scanning Technician for exciting projects across WA and within our Bassendean based office!

You’ll get to work with Orexplore’s very own GeoCoreX10 drill core scanning tool and work with various clients across multiple sites, providing a great opportunity to build on your existing skills and experience.

Ideally, an early career engineer with a strong desire to undertake hands-on learning and contribute to the delivery of complex instrumentation, electro-mechanical systems, and a range of software platforms passionate about supporting and developing transformative technologies.  

Our recruit will have a tertiary qualification in mechatronics or a similar field, competency in at least one programming language, be able to travel to client sites and have a passion for continually learning and improving. Prior experience with high-performance computing, CAD/CAM workflows, or data analysis is an added benefit.

We’re on the hunt for a self-motivated software engineer to work with our development team to further develop our visualisation and data interaction software for geological understanding. Our Insight system is platform-independent and builds upon C++, Qt and VTK. You must be comfortable with C++ and Python, have experience in product development, 2D/3D visualisation, have a keen understanding of the importance of user experience and interaction, and have a relevant tertiary degree.

A central role to further develop the company’s current analysis machine for drill cores, you will be developing concepts and solutions for future products, focusing on the design of moving mechanics and enclosures. This role sits within our iterative methodology with a goal to deliver efficient production and state of the art manufacturing methods.

Experience in product development, CAD systems, industrial design, design for manufacturing and design for assembly, a relevant tertiary degree is preferred.

Our new Electronics engineer will focus on systems design of analogue and digital systems for cross-functional engineering projects. You will work with physicists, programmers and mechanical designers with applications to advanced sensors, mixed-signal, high-speed electronics and signal processing/interfacing to embedded systems. Candidates must have a masters degree, industry experience, experience with discrete electronics, A/D, D/A, FPGA and/or ASIC, and a thorough understanding of engineering best practices.
